I used to be a single mom of six. Now I'm a happily married mom of six. Add in our son-in-love, some bigger girls' boyfriends, lots of friends and family, and we've got a crew! We are faith-filled and fun, and we love BIG.

Cast off
Peyton (3) hadn’t had much difficulty with the broken leg while it was in a splint and she could crawl anywhere she wanted. She was happy and played all week, especially with biggest sister Sutton who is visiting from college.
Then Thursday came and the cast was put on. Yeah, it may be pretty and pink to us…
…but she’s been grumpy ever since. It’s heavy and bulky and hot. Today she began crawling and dragging that bum leg behind her. She’s irritable and frustrated, begging me to take it off.
Only four more weeks.

The leg, it is broken
This picture was taken on Monday. She can’t walk until she gets her cast on Thursday so Peyton must be toted around everywhere. I’m not complaining as I’m getting a quite a few hugs, snuggles and loves I wouldn’t normally get from my too-busy 3yr old as I haul her from place to place.
She has especially honed her I’m-an-invalid-therefore-I-must-have-anything-my-heart-desires skills:
- “Mommy, I need pickles.”
- “Mommy, my leg hurts, I need ice.” (Really she just wants the ice to eat.)
- “Mommy, come get me.”
- “Mommy, Bubba’s lookin’ at my leg!”
- “Mommy, come sit with me.”
- “Mommy, I get another 'possicle?'…Pleeeeeease?”
- “Mommy, where ARE you??!!”
Thank goodness big sister Sutton is home from college for a few days and has been utilized as Miss Peyton’s personal assistant for all things necessary (and when mom doesn’t do things just right.)

Nature walkers
The kids and I went to visit my parents this past weekend. To say that we went non-stop would be an understatement. Our first day involved surveying our surroundings...much of our surroundings; we looked at it all. And we're practicing with my camera so there are a lot of pictures of our efforts. I’m trying to post an album…fingers crossed.

First eye roll?
She told Reagan “no more pictures.” Reagan didn’t listen. She’s a little young for such attitude. I thought.
