Our brood behaved rather appropriately. There were random comments about the food as the older girls eyed suspiciously their wild mushroom consomme, salad dressing that was oil and vinegar (minus the vinegar, so kind of yucky) and the steak and shrimp over a bed of spinach with purple (?) potatoes. The younger ones had plates of chicken strips, tater-tots, and mac and cheese that were well-received, and coveted discreetly by older sisters. The quietest time, though, was when our dessert was served; molten chocolate cake oozing rich gooey goodness kept six mouths sweetly occupied.
We did have the obligatory grumpy boy fit, a stinky baby diaper, and multiple tinkle trips, but all-in-all things went well. I'm a firm believer that children learn how to behave in public by exposing them periodically to situations that require maturity. This dinner did that and ended up being not so stupid after all.

Those pictures are fabulous and you look gorgeous. I still wish you had gone for the fancy outfit though instead of the standby black pants....next time! Allison/amomthing
