Bla, bla, bla

Keaton (10): "Mom, when are you going to start dressing nicer again?"

Mom: "Keaton, it's 5:30 in the morning. I haven't even showered yet."

Keaton: "I know, but you always look so blaa."

Mom (seriously?!): "I look blaa?"

Keaton (matter of factly): "Yes, you look blaa. Before Peyton was born you dressed nice and wore pretty jewelry. Now you're just blaa."

Mom (I can't believe I'm even discussing this with my child): "She's six months old, Keaton. I nurse ninety-six times a day and go nowhere."

Keaton: "But you could look nice doing it."

Oh, geez.

Oh how I can relate! I used to be a SUPERMODEL before I had Mary Claire 6 months ago... now I look like the lady in Cosmo that has the black line over her eyes and the word "DON'T" splashed across her body.

Some day we'll be beautiful again-I promise. Today, we are just milk maids.

Oh, yeah, with all that nursing going on my blouses/t shirts always ended up so wrinkled, it looked like I slept in them the night before. My nickname while nursing was The Dairy Queen. I'll be happy to answer to a title with Queen in the name!

Honesty has to count for something, right?
