Happy 12th Birthday Reagan!

You are 12 years old today; slowly moving away from childhood and into adulthood. I can't tell you how sad it makes me to see you grow up, yet how proud I am at the young woman you are becoming.

You are the eternal champion of the underdog, constantly worrying about those people left out or hurt. You've sacrificed important friendships because you wouldn't ostracize the girl on the "outs" with the group. You've apologized on behalf of those feeling no remorse in hopes of rescuing a tortured soul as you can't bear to see someone cry.

We are so thankful for you, an integral part of this family. You are the coordinator, the organizer, and the finder of all things lost. You are calm when your siblings are not and can soften a frustrated little brother when others fail.

We can always count on you to have a tale or a story or a joke to share. You have a knack of finding joy where others can't. The Lord has blessed you in so many ways and watching you discover those gifts is exciting. Keep searching for your place, we know you will be as special and important to others throughout your life as you are to all of us.

I am so proud of you sweet girl. To be your mother is an honor and a privilege. I cherish all the moments we've had together and can't wait to meet the beautiful woman you will inevitably become.

I love you Rea!
