I've got the guilties
I had pancakes and a huge glass of chocolate milk for breakfast. This food combination is not unusual for me as I've been a big breakfast eater my whole life. It is by far my favorite meal of the day. So, I planned on eating a very light lunch to off-set my enormous morning caloric intake.
(It'll be okay, Devin.)
I walked on my treadmill which is also a daily requirement, especially since I dread the inevitable weight gain. Daily exercise will help keep my weight down in the coming months and I know I lose weight faster after the baby is born if I exercise the whole pregnancy.
(I'm on the right track and feeling good!)
My husband surprised me with a mocha frappaccino at lunch, complete with whipped cream drizzled with chocolate. I never get the whip or the chocolate when I order a frappaccino (to save a few calories), but, come on, how could I not drink it? It was a gift for pete's sake and I didn't want to seem ungrateful since he was leaving town in a few hours. I drank the whole stinkin' thing to protect his feelings, of course.
(Okay, I won't eat anything else for lunch...I'm still on track; um, kinda.)
I went to pick up Hayden and Keaton from school and they were "sooooooo hungry, Mom!" We went straight to the middle school to get Reagan from her voice lessons and she was "starving, Mom!" Sutton finished volleyball practice and "I cannot describe how famished I am right now, Mom!" So I caved and we went to Walmart that has a convenient in-store McDonald's.
(Things are starting to look really bad for me.)
I ordered the kids their food and, before I could order my usual cheeseburger Happy Meal, I blurted out, "I'll have a Big Mac, please."
(What's your problem, fool?!)
Where did that come from? I haven't had a Big Mac in years! I ate almost the whole burger but only ate a few fries, so as to retain at least an ounce of self respect.
(What a pathetic loser I am.)
Obviously, I didn't do so well today and I disappointed myself. Maybe it was a pregnancy craving. Maybe I'm just a weak, weak woman with little self-control. Either way, that was the most delicious burger I've had in a very long time.
I may just have to go back to Mickey D's tomorrow...after I walk on my treadmill for a few hours. Good grief.

I'm an 'eat what I feel like' type person but understand that not everyone is the same.
I think that if you can't eat what you feel like when you're pregnant when can you? You have nothing to feel bad about (especially since you're a gun with the treadmill and you have to run after 5 other chillins)
So here's a cheer for Big macs and whoppers everywhere!
Thanks Natalie. I may have to go for that Whopper tomorrow! I hadn't even thought about those delicious burgers. Yummmmmm.
I'll meet you at Chuck's for lunch for the best Mushroom Burger. Stick around your "fat" buddy and you'll feel ok....
Love Ya,
L
It's a date! Sounds so good. Oh, and they have Blue Bell shakes, don't they? I'm there!!
PS. You are NOT "fat," we are just old and fluffy. LOL!
GO BIG MAC!! You know...I totally understand the weight gain worry-but the kids have to eat...right??!
I'm sure you will slim down quickly...it's in our genes.
You're already skinny again. I can't be the only chubbo in the family. But you're right...the kids gotta eat!
