Dang punctuation mark

A to-remain-unnamed teenage daughter recently had her first experience with a certain dreaded punctuation mark. I was horrified because, if you ask me, she's just too young to be correcting grammatical errors at 13 since I was way past 15 when grammar became an issue for me. She was initially quite excited, but her punctuation joy soon withered when the reality of the situation set in.

Girl: "You know, this really stinks. I don't think I like this."

Me: "Yeah."

Aren't I the helpful mother type?

I'm so sad she couldn't have remained punctuation free for a few more years. However, it does explain those mean-as-a-snake moments recently.

Ugh. Here we go.

Hehehe...I tried to talk in code so as not to offend.

Claudia, I can't imagine 11, yuck.

Yes, after going through this once already with Sutton and now again with Rea, I should be thankful I have only two more times. (Yikes!)

Hey,

Another milestone I get to share with you guys!

I recently found this website and after many years of throwing away disposable er... editing equipment! I have found this body and environment friendly alternative.

I have been using these cloth napkins for a while now and I wish everyone knew about them.

http://www.menstruation.com.au/index.html

There is also lots of info about getting to know your cycle. It gave me piece of mind knowing what was happening with my um... punctuation.

Obviously I don't know how you feel about different issues so I'm only passing this on because it was of great help to me.

I got mine at 13 too.

Natalie!
How are you?! I've never heard about those napkins and I WILL be checking them out. 13 huh? Ugh.

oh Devin, I am taking notes! I will have a 17, 15, and 13. I am going to need a lot of help with all that punctuation so that I don't start using @%$%^&*!$$^ marks :)

Devin, I got mine at 10. Heredity, lol.
And yeah, I'm considering reusable menstrual cups too, even though here in India it'll cost me around four years of pads, or three years of tampons. I'm a real envo-conscious teen, yes?

Good luck with handling the hormones!
