Shopping in style

As I mentioned a few days ago, Jimmy's company is having their annual meeting this week in Dallas. He decided to get us rooms at the Anatole, where the meeting is being held, in an effort to spend more time with us and to give the kids a weekend away.

The children and I arrived last night for the big BBQ and the little ones were up early this morning ready to make sure every person in this hotel knew they were here. I was dreading apprehensive about the thought of an entire day of wrangling entertaining my children in hotel rooms while dad attended all of his meetings. Sutton was going to be gone the whole day as well, not playing volleyball this time but coaching a 14U team. It was all me, all day.

In his usual way of making things just a little bit nicer for us, Jimmy and his friend Rob arranged to have a limo pick us and Rob's family up here at the hotel and drive us around to some fun shopping destinations. We hit Sam Moon for some bags and trinkets first and then the driver took us to The Galleria for lunch and more shopping.

What fun!

The kids in front of the skating rink at The Galleria.

Dad will never let us shop with mom again.

Keaton and her new friend, Sabrina, are two peas in a pod.

People even stopped and laughed at the new "mannequins."

The driver had a slew of kazoos waiting on us. He must not have children.

The whole gang when we returned to the hotel.

Thanks Daddy!
