Mommy makeover

My children decided I needed a makeover. I wasn't sure if I should be thrilled or insulted, yet I settled on thrilled figuring any improvement to my appearance at this point would be beneficial. My kids (12, 10, 6, and 3) would be my, um, stylists. Though not really qualified, they were eager, had definite ideas, and moved swiftly (though not always gently).

Reagan, incensed by my toenails that sported three of ten painted, took to my feet. Keaton, tired of my boring straight hair, decided I needed a more youthful "do." The boys, hoping to "make you bootiful Mom!" volunteered for face duty.

Hmmm...Is it just me or do I look a lot like Baby Jane?

What courage! Very admirable! Did you have to exclude scissors from the experience, or did they not even go for them?

Jeppers if they think YOU need a makeover, the rest of us are sunk....
You're just about the most beautiful woman on earth. Tell 'em Big Mama said so.
But I really can't imagine you and a couple of unpainted toenails.

Remember when Dad let us do that to HIM!?! You are such a good mommy...and very, very brave. I love that you let them photograph you! They will remember this like we remember putting pink sponge rollers in Dad's hair!

You look nothing like Baby Jane! Isn't that a freaky movie, though?!
