It's a Christmas record

Never before in the history of decorating our home for the holidays, has Dad (formerly known as "Mr. Scrooge") ever initiated the taking down of fall decor and the putting up of Christmas cheer. It was his idea...really, all his! We are so ahead of the game, I can't stand us.

We still need to decorate the already-been-put-up tree and hang miles of garland, but we are up and going and he and the kids have done all the work.

Aaaah, Christmas is off to a perfect start.

You need to bring your elves to my house. I can't believe you've already decorated. I still have the only three Halloween decorations that I put out on display. I'll get motivated this week.

Oh my! Your house looks SO beautiful! My husband usually is anxious to get the Christmas decorations up, but this year he hasn't mentioned it at all... hmmm!

Wow! Did you drug him? How did this happen, and how do I get MY hubby in on the game?

You have an absolutely gorgeous home!

Honestly, I went on strike last year (pregnant, grumpy, etc) and refused to decorate because I had to do all the work. At first I was praised, then everyone realized I was serious and we did without holiday decor. So I guess they figured it was time to help this year:-)

Thanks for the house compliments. We're bursting at the seams and have kids in our room so eventually need to move on to more sq. footage. Ugh.

Your house is gorgeous!!! We usually get our holiday decor up over Thanksgiving. We still need to go and buy a new tree. Our old "Charlie Brown" tree is done for now. LOL

Have a great Thanksgiving!

What is wrong with you people? Christmas decorations up the week before Thanksgiving? We're doing good to get them up a week before Christmas! Of course our decorations really don't matter because we live next door to Chevy Chase (aka Laurie & Kerney). The illumination from their lights can be seen by the Hubble Telescope! I'm not kidding...we have pictures!Have Happy Thanksgiving! Eileen

Eileen,
Living next door to the "Grizwalds" has got to leave a person feeling a little Christmas-inferior. Nice thing is, NASA will always have a point of reference in case of emergency, "Oh, there's Rosebud!"

Miss you!
