As you can see, Hayden was thrilled with the loot he received from the Tooth Fairy; three dollars might as well have been three million to him. He was on the phone with Dad as he ran back upstairs this morning (yes, he ended up in my room again last night...sigh) to see if she had come.
He then told us what really happened...
Evidently the Tooth Fairy had flown into his room and landed next to his bed. She then used her hands to open his mouth so she could inspect the missing tooth spot. She took the money and slipped it under his pillow and quietly flew away. (Only in our tight-wad family would the Tooth Fairy have to open a mouth and verify the absence of a tooth before she actually left the money.)
Hayden skipped away to school this morning completely full of himself, already making plans regarding how to spend his new-found fortune.
